Family Loves Musa

Musa

Hello, dog lover! We are Lizeth, Jack, and Nico, and this is our lovely girl Musa. We are looking for someone to care for Musa in the next chapter of her life. Here’s the situation: we have to move to the United Kingdom for Jack’s work. The UK has very strict bully breed laws, which mean that it would be a crime for us to bring Musa with us when we move. If we did, she could be taken from us off the street by any policeman, even without a complaint.

We’re not ready to say goodbye to our Moose forever. We would like to be able to see her when we come back to the US to visit, and take her hiking and camping if and when we decide to move back to Seattle. We want Nico to have a doggy friend when he’s old enough to remember her. Most of all, we want to have a say in where Musa spends this time, and make sure that she’s with someone who loves her and takes her to do her favorite activities.

What we’re asking for is a new dog parent who is willing to let us remain a part of Musa’s life. As part of this, we are prepared to remain fully responsible for her care as long as it makes sense.

Here are some more details about Musa. She is a 6 year old pitbull mix with an extremely loving personality. Musa loves to play fetch, tug of war, chase bubbles, and splash around in her pool on a hot day. She always picks up a long stick if we pass it on a walk. Several times a day, she decides to cheer us up and walks around wagging her tail as hard as it will go, for minutes on end. When she’s making her rounds, we like to drape her big blanket over her so that she can carry it around and show it to us without tripping over it. Musa loves to hike and is a tireless trail companion. Her favorite hikes end in the snow, because chasing snowballs is even more fun than playing fetch.

The best thing to do with Musa is take her swimming. She appreciates it if you throw a rock and make a splash for her to chase after. Waves make a nice big splash for her to take a big bite out of as well. But if the water is nice and the sun is out, she will jump right in and just swim around for the sheer pleasure of it.
